Help, does someone know how to do this??

I have RedSox's Editor opened up right now, how do I import the color schemes from Foz's College Template into my league? I have everything else done from his thing (teams, logos, leagues all set up) I just want the color schemes imported in, how can I do this?

What you need to do is set up the basic structure of the NCAA in your game and then export the data to csv. Then do the same for Foz's college template and export that to csv.

Open up both csv's and find where the college teams start in your game's teams.csv (College is level 9, High School is level 10), and then copy all the fields from the other csv, except for the ID column into your csv - there should hopefully be the same number of lines.

Save the CSV and use the Teams importer tab to load this file back into your saved game.

Anyone know why when I download the file it says its name is X6 and there is no option to do anything else. I have winrar and winzip and neither one of those will work with the file. Just wondering if the file is broke or me

Its funny you should say that cos thats what my wife keeps saying!! She says "Are you ever gonna play that darn game or just mess around with the stats!!".

I think adjusting and tinkering makes the game more enjoyable!

Anyone heard from Cubby?

I think he's been kidnapped by the mogul crew as they are trying to sabotage our roster release!!

Just kidding by the way I dont want to offend anyone. (I play both games and enjoy them for different reasons!)

Hey man, dont need to explain to anyone why you haven't had time. I know I speak for everyone on this board right now but we all appreciate what you and everyone else who has been involved in this roster release.

Just wanted to post some quick thoughts...

Does anyone notice that current players (i.e. Richie Sexson, Blalock, Brandon Phillips off the top of my head) just don't stick around and the entire league seems to be over-ran by prospects within a matter of one or two years?

I really do not like this, and I was wondering if there was anything I can do to get the current players (veterans) to stick around for awhile? Hell, in my sim, Manny's ratings completely crapped out by 2009 and he was a bench player...granted he would be 36 but still should have something left in the tank.

I just don't get it...and I know the game doesn't know names, but there should be some method to getting these guys to stick around?

Any thoughts?

Best thing I could suggest is using the 'Recalc ratings' rather than the regular game ratings, I'm not 100% certain how it works, but if you browse around on this site a little bit or search 'recalc ratings' you should be able to find an in-depth explanation on it.

The game can only recalc if it has some real-life stats to reference, and since the game won't have 2008 or 2009 stats to look at (unfortunately!), enabling recalc won't do anything. It sounds like what you want to do is lower the Player Development and/or Aging modifiers (so young players progress more slowly, and old players decline more slowly), but I don't know if you can do that with a league that's already underway. Some of the prospects are too ML-ready in the set, which is part of the issue.

This is a standard problem with pecota, they seem to favor toolsy younger players. 1 idea is to play with the development and aging factors. I've got my aging turned down some and things look better. I still haven't found hte absolute perfect numbers yet though.

As far as I know 2.1 is all that is available. Look at Cubby's signature.

Are you willing to share the factors you use with the rest of us?

I have been trying to workout decent numbers for a while and just wanted to see how we compare.

Thanks!

I was at .750 on aging and .900 on development but wasn't sure either.

Nice -- I've been having the same problems too, tweaking those always scares me but if it's giving good results I might switch over..
