Problem resizing with IrfanView?

I've noticed something weird when I tried to resize logos with IrfanView.

The logos didn't look good online, so I condensed them to 100 X 100 using IrfanView. Improved the images online, but now they looked strange in the game. Players who didnt have a picture had the logo showing up off-center.

I saved the resized pictures elsewhere for when I upload pages, and resized the logos back to 150 x 150. The logos showed up in the game as a blurry image probably 150 x 25. Fortunatley I had the original photoshop files to recreate the logos.

Was this something I did with IrfanView's settings or an altogether different problem?

The blurriness is par for the course when you scale up ratster/bitmap graphics. Not sure about the off-center logos, since I just leave all my logos at 150x150 to begin with.
