My game with Brest is not going that well
I have 13 first team players out with injury and 7 of them are injuries of one month of greater
Im having to sign free transfers and toss them on the first team the same day they sign
My reserves are shot and my youth team has been gleaned of any useful players (and I use the term usefull liberaly) to put on the bench
Yet somehow im getting wins and ties
I am playing ultra defensivly with 3 DC 2 WB 3 MC 1 AMC and 1 ST
So far its working
Im getting crap goals, but I dont care since im not giving up goals and im collecting points

Football Manager thinks Baines is pretty good. So there's that.

Quote:
Latics chairman Dave Whelan had slashed admission prices in a bid to boost attendances, but on this evidence he may have to pay fans to attend next season's equivalent top-flight fixture.
Quote:
After Emile Heskey had squandered the best chance in the fifth minute when he aimed a header straight at Antti Niemi, neither side was able to fashion a single on-target shot between them.
Quote:
Wigan manager Paul Jewell described his side's goalless draw with Fulham at the JJB Stadium today as 'rubbish' - but demanded more of the same to ensure Barclays Premiership survival.

Sounds like a thriller!

lmao. Didn't go to the Latics v Fulham game but by all accounts it was a borefest, some longtime fans I've spoken to say it was the worst game they've seen at Wigan and the freezing wind and sleet didn't help lol.

A few teams are cutting prices as fans are voting with their feet that it's too expensive to go watch a Premiership game, Latics, Blackburn and Bolton are cutting prices I'd expect Middlesbrough to follow suit as they've had poor crowds, Man City have had poor crowds the last few home games so they may cut prices.

Ultimately though, it's a high level success that brings the fans in. Once things go downhill, or at least level out, for the teams, the fans dissapear again. For some teams it's all about fighting for a spot in the UEFA cup, the CL is a big dream for nearly everyone. The likes of Bolton, Spurs and others often look to be on the edge of breaking through but it never quite happens and we still have The Big Four.

Should at least move a CL spot from the league to the Cup.

Yeah I partly agree but what about Bolton crowds going down but their 5th in the table, Blackburn had to give free tickets away for their UEFA Cup game against Bayer Leverkusen and taking Blackburn as an example they'll play over 20 games at home this season so that means your talking about a father say taking his kid and it costing him over £1,000 by the time he pays for their tickets and a programme and throw in another £150 - £200 (Maybe even more not sure how much cup final tickets will cost) if they get to the FA Cup Final.

No idea how many saw the Lampard incident this week, first of the Spurs fan should be banned for life as there's no excuse in going for a player have to say though when I saw the Chelsea players celebrate after the final whistle I thought they went over the top specially Lampard, Terry and Cole who imo celebrated in an aggressive manor.

The money is really stupid. Do you think there is any chance of things reaching a breaking point with fans going to lower league clubs (Support Non-league Football! ), which leads to the clubs having less money and so stop paying stupid fees and wages?

Will you have to quit Wigan to take the job?

Fans have already started protesting, Man Utd fans at the Fulham game refused to buy programmes or food because Fulham charge say Blackburn fans £25 to get in but charge Man Utd fans £40, simply because they know they can charge as much as they want and theres enough demand from Man Utd fans to buy all the tickets.

I'm waiting for a team to raise their prices for next season and see what the backlash will be because of the Premiership money going up, football will self implode simply because the hardcore fan is the workingman and he can't afford to go to every game and it's full stadiums that make football what it is and some aren't being filled not even well supported teams like Newcastle fill their ground every game.

Take away the big four and you'll see grounds that are no where near full at some games and it isn't because of the ammount of games it's the cost, Wigan raised their prices at the start of the season by 15% at some games my wage didn't go up 15% and I doubt anybody in Wigan got a 15% pay rise so crowds dropped and Wigan had to cut prices because people weren't turning up.

Not been offered the England job as of yet or any International job before in a game so no idea if you can do it part time or not, I did delay the Liverpool job and I've stopped the game when they cameback to me so I have to decide do I say at Wigan or go to Liverpool and seek European glory.

I hate international coaching in FM
It is so boring, you hardly have anything to do and have to wait 3 months between matches
Most of the time I just get a international job when im burnt out and want to sit back and view the world of football pass by while I check out players and teams and watch interesting matches

Never been an international manager but yeah I'd suspect it being a bit boring, is it easy to arrange friendlies ?

I'm in the UEFA Cup this upcoming season so may give that a shot and see what comes up job wise after this season, reason why I'm thinking of the Liverpool job is because Arsenal owned me last season they knocked me out of the Champions League and FA Cup and beat me home and away in the league and it's hard to get the top quality players in at Wigan, Arteta being the latest to turn me down.
