I downloaded ArodGarlon's career average database today and would like to confirm something... I hope someone can help :-).
I'm looking at changing the debut years for some players and found out that OOTP needs batting/pitching stats to match the year to debut. I also know that players do not retire after their last stat year... so my question is: If I change a debut year and than go to the stats sheet and change the first stat year... can I just delete the rest of the stat year for the player? So I would only have 1 stat year for every player. I think it should be fine as it is the career avg. database so all the years are the same anyhow... can someone confirm this for me?m

For some reason it doesn't work in terms of how it creates the players. It was one of the 1st things I tried when I did my earliest versions of my DBs. Then I tried just 3 years, same deal. It does on Ok job but it is not just accurate enought. Your better off keeping it as close to full as possible.
If your goal is to create a DB with players starting in their pro debut as apposed to ML debut just use mine. It will save you years of frustration. |
