and you still havent apparently.
I would say yeah. A couple of years back he had a shot at a 2nd perfect game which eventually got broken up, but Milton Bradley I believe said he saw a cut/scratch in the ball he was using. The camera angle provided is pretty clear too. Nobody is saying what it was yet, though. EDIT: you edited in the poll, thus making my attempt at wit null-and void |

This should have been a public poll.

So we can know who's lying through their teeth!
Seriously, private polls suck unless you're asking personal questions.

I think he cheated at first but to be fair he wasn't in innings 2-8 when he controlled the Cardinals just as much as inning 1.

I'm confused. Are you saying he was better in innings 2-8 or inning 1? I'm not sure when he was better, but 7 innings vs 1 says something to me.

I'm saying I think he cheated in the first inning but not in the innings after that. So you could say he cheated and it helped in inning 1 but you can't say his efforts in the other 7 were enhanced at all.

IIRC, he went aside and talked to the home plate umpire about something after the second inning. Either way, there's no way to tell for sure, but that speaks that he may have been trying to clear it up if it was something accidental or innocuous. We'll never know, I suppose.

You guys believe what you have fed to you by the talking heads too much. Just watch the game with no sound and this conversation would not be happening. The mark on his hand was exactly where dirt would be from steadying yourself in a stretch for warming up. It was obvious that tar would not be placed on the inner palm next to the thumb for pitching. The Hat is totally blown away by the gullibility.

I don't know if this is dirt or not, but it's about as clear a picture as I've found so far. It *is* kinda fishy that he washed it off before he could get looked at by the umpires, but nevertheless he dominated all game even after the handwashing.

The quote from the MLB official in the article seemed to indicate that the umps had got a look at it and determined it to not be a foreign substance.

There was no request for an inspection. They speculated that it was dirt. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that LaRussa would have had to request an inspection, but it had already been removed from Rogers' hand before that could happen. I dunno, but it's sure fun to talk about :P
