The PFBL, 4+ year-old league, looking for an owner

The PFBL currently at the All-Star break in its 18th season, is looking for one owner.

The new owner will be taking over the Washington Americans. The team is currently in rebuilding mode right now. At the break, they're in last place in their division, but are still on the edges of the wildcard (6 games back). The prior owner did a nice job this past offseason and via the recent ammy draft, trading for and acquiring alot of prospects and ammy picks for the team's minor league system, which is currently ranked #1 in the league, by far. They also have 3 first round picks in next year's ammy draft.

In addition, they have a nice core of players to build upon at the major league level:

SP Gregory "Dark Horse" Williams
SP Ronald Halls
CL Marcelino Diaz
1B Richard Laine
CF Michael Laflamme

In addition to those 5, there are alot of average to above average guys on the team.

I'm looking for an active owner who will submit regular league files, login to the site at least every other day to check things out, and do what they can to keep this team on the up and up.

Our league is fictional and uses OOTP 6.51a. We've been around since August '02 and are currently in OOTP year 2018. Our remaining 15 teams are manned by a good core of owners who are very active.

The league features:
- 5 sim days per week. We sim games Monday thru Fridays, 5 games per sim, so there's definitely a lot of baseball happening in this league
- Punctuality you can set your watch by - over the 4+ years the league has been in existence, I think we've missed maybe 2 sims (which were promptly made up)
- Catobase
- On-line almanacs from each of our prior seasons- no zip files here!
- NUMEROUS custom history reports about the league, ranging from extensive recordbooks to all-stars to gold glove winners (check out the Record Books and League Reference menus at the top of our site)
- Export Trackers
- A very active site forum Link
- Trading of Draft picks
- Offseason Player Coaching to improve skills
- Player Rating/Talent Changes Reports per sim - my own custom form of BOSI's rating updates
- Minor League Stats from last sim reports each sim
- Player Fatigue Reports after each sim
-Top Prospects Report - a custom program report I wrote that displays all 3-star or better prospects for each club, depending on whether or not they meet a developmental pace formula to make the bigs in a reasonable timeframe. It displays total talent points and % of realized talent for each player
- League Talent Report (updated each sim)
- Ratings-to-Stats Report (updated each sim)
- Team Stats Report Updated Each Sim
- Prior Ammy Draft Progress Reports - track how each of the picks of the past performed - 2011 Season example
- Games of Yesteryear block on the site - this randomly displays one of over 16,000 games from our past with box scores, player links, and stats
- Coaches/scouts disabled
- One league uses DH, the other does not - the open team WILL use the DH

I am an Original Owner and can certainly confirm jahm's statement. Whether you are an owner that pops in an hour or two a day or, like most of us, hangs around the site for what seems 24/7, there is something there for everyone. The stats, the use of the forums to debate ways to improve the League, the cast of characters we call 'Owners' , someone usually on the site 'round the clock it seems. I am all but spoiled by the consistancy of the sims, the running of the league from the top to the bottom. I can let my GM and Manager run my team while I sit back and absorb the different reports on the site. There certainly aren't to many leagues out there of this caliber. I hope to be playing this league into the 22nd century! Tom/Asheville

I've been with the PFBL since the first season, four real years ago, and I can attest that this is a great league. We have a great Commish and a solid core of owners. Come give us a look!

I just joined the PFBL this season. I took over the worst team, although we may not be the worse now, I still have my days. This is definitely one of the best leagues I have ever been in. The commish is great and the stat breakdown is fantastic. If you are a TRUE sim fan, this is your league.
