MLB 2006 Rosters for tomorrow?

If I wanted to start an MLB league tomorrow with 2006 rosters, what would I have to do?

I have to assume that someone will release 2006 rosters sometime tomorrow or in the near-future.

It has been alluded that there are some making such rosters but no one has ever given a firm commitment as to the precise date and time real rosters will be out. So tomorrow is only the earliest day they'll be available, it's never been guaranteed.

I pretty sure the mlb 2006 real roster will be out soon after ootp 2006 release.

Usually the standard league in OOTP is based on the MLB real roster that he ask someone to make for him and than Markus usually change them to fictional names before the release.

I believe that in 2k6, rosters are NOT based on MLB rosters.

I know there are several people working on rosters, but I don't have the foggiest idea how close they are to being complete. of course, if you have a favorite roster set from OOTP6, you can always import that.

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

If anyone can even provide an approximate date that accurate 2006 full major and full minor leagues will be released, that'd be awesome.

That is the only thing that's keeping me from buying the game. I have to start of with some of the people of today that I know, before I can go and search for new talent. Having a team full of players I don't know, doesn't make it exciting for me. :-/

it is so much work that it will take a while before you see a accurate and well done full minors version that isn't a v6 import.

There's a fine line between going nuts over the game and playing it, and going nuts over being a neat freak trying to make everything perfect before starting.

then why are you expecting someone else to do the work for you?

I plan on creating my own set once i get the game tomorrow

Isn't that what I'm doing?

Maybe you should sit back and not reply to people who like to have real MLB players if it gets on your nerves?

I would work on OOTP rosters, except for the fact that I'm not familiar with it, and I spend a lot of time working on rosters for Baseball Mogul
