Yeah, I'd say that's impressive!

I would never have guessed he'd be that good looking at his ratings.

I've never seen a pitcher with that low of a Stuff rating be that successful.
In my fictional league my ace was 18-0 at the All-Star break. He Finished 25-3. I was hoping for 30 wins. |

I guess I jinxed the guy. I just ran the rest of the season, but I can't post it till this evening, and he ended up 23-8.
He actually suffered a 7 week injury on 7-10. So, he went 3-8 after a 20-0 start. Ouch! He still won the Cy Young!!

I had a pitcher (Mark Buehrle) do that in a modern-era solo league. He won his 20th game on July 31 (5 man rotation preculded him reaching it by the All-Star break) with a 2.67 ERA. He stumbled a bit down the stretch and finished up at 25-6 with a 3.08 ERA and a Cy Young Award.

two years in a row this guy got his first loss (15-1 & 14-1 I believe) in his last game before the all-star break: http://www.theasfl.com/abl/ootpfiles/p1760.html and has finished near the 30 win mark or above it.

I had my offense help a good-but-not-great pitcher to a 24-3, 4.20 ERA season. No-one else in the league won more than 17 so they gave him the Cy Young, despite being nowhere near the top 10 in ERA. He joined a pretty exclusive club - two seasons previously, he lost 20 games. The year after the Cy, he was 8-2 and suffered career-ending "bone chips shoulder".

This team was #1 in batting average. This is a real offensive league, I even tweaked Babe down from a 133 power and 172 eye to 100's and he still hit 94 homeruns last year.
I usually get one or two .400 hitters also. No one else is really hitting the long ball, but Babe, at that scale anyways. League average was a very high .288/.288 and era was 4.87/4.80 I do plan on tweaking it down a little, but it is sort of fun with these numbers now. Zachary, after that season signed a 19 million contract (2nd best in the league)

Tom Z. was no flash in the pan, he won 25 games again this year and his 2nd Cy Young. The past couple years, the crop of 'rookie's have been hitters, Hack Wilson, Lou Gehrig, etc., and other than Lefty Grove, no really good pitchers. A lot with good movement, but all have lower stuff.
