Display Issues?

I recently got a new computer. In doing so, I redownloaded and installed the game. The weird thing is that now the menus are sort of transparent, it is almost impossible to see as the whole thing is a bit see thru.

I have never experienced this before and have loaded and reloaded OOTP versions 3 thru 6 many different times. I usually use wood maple as the skin, but it just is odd. What changes do I need to make to the setup in any way?

One other thing to point out, I now have a flat screen monitor, if that makes any difference to the game appearance. Another weird thing is that the game doesn't take up the whole screen, as I am used to. It is kind of like a window that opens and needs the full screen button hit, only there is no full screen button. It's not like it is too small to read, just smaller than full screen.

Turn off Direct 3D.

Thanks for the instruction. You are probably right. But how do I do it? Is it in the game, in Windows setup somewhere?

Game folder select "game config" file then toogle 3D setting.
