Arguing Calls

Is there any real benefit to arguing calls (outs, strike 3's etc...)? Other then getting a bit of frustration out I don't really see any benefits.

None, zero, natta, zip, zilch. And a punishment to boot (I usually get tossed from the game).

Is there anything in this game that pisses you off more? Especially when your down 7 runs in the 2nd inning and you've already hit no to argueing for the 4th time. It is amazing how my keyboard and mouse are still in one piece.

There have been talks about making a benifit but at the moment, there is none. And how is he supposed to know that it has been asked 9000 times Jonzard?

Yeah, it would be cool if this board had a search function or something.

I know there is a search function, but look at his posting rank? He is a newbie? Yes?

He has been around about 30 months longer than you, so I would execpt him to know more than you.

I agree with this, especially with the "your wife" part.

Hmmmmmm...Now what was this thread about?........

Oh yeah! To argue or not to argue and the bad search function on the forum.

Argue 1 time or get tossed. NO, your team will not get inspired and go on to a great come-from-behind win behind your riled up 3rd baseman's two out, bases clearing double in the bottom of the ninth. Won't happen.

The search function does not work. Try searching for anything and get nothing but a superlong list of thread "titles" which in no way are ranked nor can we see the contents of each without clicking on each one. It's much easier to drop the question right here, go have lunch, then come back to see which one of us answers, in our neverending passion to help others.

Being relatively new myself to the boards, although I can find many topics by searching the title.

The problem is that though the topic was discussed previously, it may have been for a previous version. And us newbies who don't know the history of all the updates, or just can't remember the changes, will be in the dark.

For example, at the bottom of this screen are 'similar threads', which all look to be great discussions on arguing calls. But the most recent one is from TWO YEARS ago.

So, you just ask the question again and see if there has been any update.

And I am not sure why people continue to waste time saying to search for it when they could simply answer the simple question. Yes, I did search for it and didn't find a satisfactory answer so I posted the question rather then wade through the numerous posts. Doesn't seem that difficult does it? And as someone put it, I have been around for a while and in spite of the number or posts, I am far from a noob.

Just like this thread, the following derails a bit. Even though it's not 6.5a the attention paid to it originally is worth mentioning and you can draw your own conclusions or collect your own empirical data:
