Happy Birthday Rusty Kuntz!

As the sponsor on baseballreference points out:

He had the critical sac fly in Game 5 of the 1984 World Series to put the Tigers ahead for good. Thanks Rusty!

My 1985 Topps Rusty Kuntz is still one of my prized baseball cards. Ahh, unintentional comedy.

Rusty Kuntz

I'm partial to Misty Hymen - the olympic swimmer. But I guess that's a personal preference.

I try to stay away from Rusty Kunts. They can cause infection.

He was a damned useful player in 1984. Not so much, y'know, at any other time, though.

An OPS+ of 125 in 1984, with a career OPS+ of 81. Too bad he only had 441 career AB.

Like I've said before, Rusty Kuntz is the only person from my alma mater who has played in the major leagues.

Happy birthday, go Warriors!!

You know, the Irate Pirates fans were looking for a new t-shirt to express their outrage at Littlefield. I think we may have a winner.
