Local Broadcast contract expires in past
I tryed searching for an answer and did not see anyone with this problem. I am playing solo (6.12). In an effort to make the game more difficult, I have been reducing my market size. I have done this after the World Series, and then gone onto the next season. My goal was to reduce the money coming into my team, to increase the challenge. I also changed the National Contract to the minimum for all teams of $5,000,000 a team. As I reduce market size, I want the local broadcast contract to reflect the market size, so I changed the expiration date to the year I was in, so that the contract would be renegotiated in the off season. The result is that the game ignores the expiration due date and just keeps the current contract in force. I am in year 2013. My local broadcast contract shows that it expired in 2012. How do I correct this?
Thanks |

I have seen this before in my league. The only way I got the contracts to renegotiate and move past the expired year was to edit it in the Front Office and make it expire after the next season. Changing it to the current season seems to just cause a problem for some reason.

Keep in mind that when a contract expires in a certain year, it expires on January 1st of that year effectively or BEFORE that season actually starts. So if you are already in the season, the contract won't expire ever I believe.
