Fictional Photoset Limit?

Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of photos that OOTP will use? Over the years I have accumulated 8500 ficitional photo bmp files for my league (some others creations I downloaded, some I created). Searched the forums for an answer but couldn't locate this question in any other threads.
