Logo Request

I have a team in FJ's upstart league SSBL. They are the Samoa Matais. Matai is a term that has evolved much over the years, but it maintains a certain tribal nature to it. To best pinpoint it, I would say it means "wise men." Matai often have political responsibilities as well.

So for the logo, feel free to do whatever you'd like along those lines. A staff or a symbol of wisdom, a bearded Samoan man, anything portraying political acumen, or something a bit more basic and tribal. The choice is yours, after all, beggers like me can't be choosers!

edit: changed Samoa to Samoan per FL's guidance

Hey, Sebastian...

Here's my take on the Matais...
I did change the name of the team to Samoa, instead of Samoan, as normally you would not pluralize the name of the teams' city, state or island...in this case. If you want it changed to back to plural, I can revise that with no prob.

Good call on the plurality issue, FL. I really like both logos...you guys just have to make this choice difficult, eh? Scotto, if you get a chance, do you think you could change "Samoan" to "Samoa?" I'll look 'em over for a day or so, check out the other team logos in the league to see which best fits with them (if there is a pattern), and let you know which I go with! Other entries are welcome, but I'm more than happy picking between these two.

Nice job, FL. The simple ones you are making for me are cool, but these are even better.
