What do you mean? Is your hard drive full? Did you check the free space? If so, guess you need a bigger hard drive or need to remove some stuff. Or point cato to work on another hard drive.

Is this a very long-running or large league? Maybe your database is bumping into some sort of maximum file limit... though I'd definitely check how much space, if any, is available on your hard drive first.

Well just a logical assumption of the term Drive or network error
CatoBase then just stopped working for me I suppose with my old puter...I will have to forgo Photos...and keep bare minimum stats if I want to get to 2005 from 1901 |

If you suspect that your drive may be dying, the first (and maybe most obvious) thing to do is back up whatever you can't afford to lose. Documents, league files, porn, whatever you can't just re-install.
Ideally, you can use something like Norton Ghost to create an image of your drive...I'm pretty sure that Ghost can write images to a succession of CD-R/RW's. Other than that, just run Scandisk and/or CHKDSK, depending on your version of Windows...if that starts reporting errors and failures, it may be time to replace your drive. How old is the drive, BTW? |

A backup and diagnostics are good advice regardless, but unless he is having problems with other things on that hard besides CATO I would write it off to a weird CATO problem. |

Pretty old Eriq...
and I had to rearrange the BIOS to make this Frankenstein work (don't ask lol) so scan disk does not work, nor does defrag So I deleted my league...looks like I will have to go with no photos...bare minimum on CatoBase (no history, ratings, salary only 25 leaderboards) Any other suggestions to keep down a league size? After getting rid of old games and programs and non essentials I have 10.8 GB free |

Free space is not a problem. I have far less space available on my HDs and run OOTP/Cato without any issues.
If other applications like OOTP are running and working off the same hard drive than the drive isn't likely experiencing a general failure. I think its one of two things; a red herring error from catobase that has nothing to do with your hard drive, or possibly you have a bad sector on the disk and when cato tries to write data to that sector is chokes out. Utilities such as scandisk (and maybe even chkdsk /R ) will locate and mark bad sectors so the OS doesn't write to them anymore. |
