Killing Time
Get to that time of year, where my save is in the off-season, but don't want to progress until OOTP27 drops next week. How to kill time......as a huge Mariners fan, time to Live Start the 2025 playoffs, and hopefully knocking off the Blue Jays and head to the WS. What are others doing?

Currently working on the offseason of year 163 in my fictional league.
Trying to see if I can make it to 200 before 27 rolls around and then retire it. |

Here's a bit of time killing, a record with some pretty serious longevity finally falling.

I'm doing something similar. Planning a fictional league set in Canada. Designing uniforms and logos. Customizing some stadium mods. Getting a little impatient waiting for the big day, though. |

Expanded to 12 in '33, to 16 in '65, swallowed an entire independent league in '90 to get to 24, finally two smaller 2-team expansions in 2148 and '157 bringing me to 28. The single season hits record still stands at 160 (259 per 162), that one was set in 2008. One guy made a run at it in '109, but fell one hit shy. Career home run champ is Ernesto Vaudray, retired in 2120 with 452 (732 per 162s). Bruno won't make it there, he was a late bloomer with serious contact issues, he won't age well. Bruno must have heard me bad mouthing him, he put up 40 the following season, to go along with another 100 rbi (I've only had 13 of those now).
Led the league in strikeouts again too with 127, attaboy. Last edited by snepp; 03-07-2026 at 06:14 AM. |
