Best type of league to do first time manager in?
I have always avoided playing as manager but lately have thought I am depriving myself from certain aspects of the game I can only experience as a manager. My question to all of you who play or have played as manager is what level do you think is the best for a new manager? I've heard/read arguments for starting in the majors, minors, independent, ect. Specifically Ive heard the major leagues because the roster management is easier to learnt there because in the minors there is a lot more turn over which makes it harder to learn. I've heard that independent leagues or fictional league teams with no minors are easier because there is very little roster turnover making it easier to focus on other aspects of managing. Obviously with a game thats so deep with many different strategies there will be many different ways to play.
What are your opinions on this? |

I take the lack of any responses to mean the vast majority of OOTPers are not playing as managers.
