Lahman and other files
I downloaded the ootp5 demo a few days ago and have been having a ball with it. One of the files listed on the download page where I got the game was lahman50-2k.zip. I downloaded this but haven't done anything with it. What am I suppose to do with it? What exactly does it do? I was assuming it set the playernames to the actual names and maybe provides some historical stats... does it do anything else?
Also, I keep seeing other files people are creating and wanted to find out which ones are good to look into for someone getting started with this great game! I downloaded TotalMinors (which looks like it sets all the names for active players and adds the better prospects so do I not need lahman?) and the shub facepacks. Are these the ones that most people use? I also downloaded a set of logos (actually about 8 sets so I have to choose from). Are there any other files I should look into? It would be nice if there were a step by step guide for the beginner on setting up the game to use the latest db files, etc. to help get you started. I know these are not official but I get the impression that most (or at least a lot) of people update the games files after downloading. Thanks! |

I was able to create a new league using the TotalMinors and one of the logo sets I downloaded. Worked great! :-)
I created a Photo directory under the create directory and put my photos in there but they did not get propagated to the newly created league folder. Worked fine after moving them there myself, but is there a way to get the photos to install in the new directory when creating a new league? Thanks! |

BTW, I didn't mean to knock on Shub's facepack in my previous post since I didn't even know that he had one available. I just know that from my experience that the DD facepack works really well. Besides that, it seems really popular among solo and online league players alike. Quote:
