MLB Logos
I am in the process of finalizing several sets of MLB logos that will be posted sometime in the near future. What I need to know at this point is what teams have or have had pinstripe uniforms. Here are the ones that I believe are correct:
Chicago Cubs Chicago White Sox Cincinnati Reds Colorado Rockies Florida Marlins Milwaukee Brewers Minnesota Twins Montreal Expos New York Mets New York Yankees Philadelphia Phillies San Diego Padres Please let me know if I have either missed any or have included any that should not have been included. Thanks. |

I believe the Astros may have had a pinstripe uniform as well.

Not sure if you want 1901 to now or just more recent, so here's the complete list.
Most teams have had pinstripe uniforms, at least at some time in their history. At one time, pinstriped uniforms (either home or road or both) were considered almost mandatory for the well-dressed ballplayer. Hang on, its a pretty long list of team that have had pinstripes.... (home uniforms only... it would be much more if you included road uniforms) Angels 1997-2001 (vest) Astros 2000 - current (one of several home alternates) Athletics - 1914-16,1920, 1958-61 Braves - 1924-28, 1937-38, 1945, 1969-71, 1976-79 Brewers - 1978-93 Cardinals - 1918-19, 1927-28 Cubs - 1911-12, 1918-20, 1930-33 (some alternates/mid-year replacements plain), 1957-current Diamondbacks - 1998-current Dodgers - 1912, 1914-15, blue "tweed" thing 1916, 1917, blue "tweed" 1918-19, 1920-30, 1933, 1935-36 Expos - 1992-current Giants - 1911-15, strange purple-ish Abbot & Costello type "tweed" 1916, 1919-27, 1931-32 Indians - 1915-21, 1970-71 Marlins - 1993-95, 2003 Mets - 1962-current Padres - 1985-98 Phillies - 1911, 1921-23, 1950-current Pirates - 1912-1914, 1977-79 (black/yellow pattern on home alternate) Reds - 1914-16, 1922-29, 1958-66 (vest), 1967, 1990-current (vest) Red Sox - 1913-14, 1921-23, 1930-31 Rockies - 1993-current Senators- 1912-25, 1928-35, 1942-43, 1950-60 Senators II - 1961-68 Tigers - 1912-13, 1916, 1918-24, 1926-27, 1931-33 Twins - 1961-71, 1987-current White Sox - 1912-17, 1919-20, 1951-68, 1971-75, 1991-current Yankees - 1912-current These are just years for a pinstripe base; the actual uniform details changed more often. The colors include blue, navy blue, red, purple, pink-ish, brown and black, depending on team and year. Hope that helps.... |

Holy Cow. Thanks for the extensive info. After making the ones that were already listed in this thread they started to all look like caged logos so I put them on hold for now. I will release the ones that I have finished with the complete set and add to it if need be. Your information will be saved for a latter date. Thanks again.
The logos that I am working on will include over 400 variations. Most of the differences will be along the line of background and border colors but there will be plenty of style to choose from as well. The complete set will include 3 series of logos: Series 100: Dark Blue background and boarder with a white stripe separating them. Series 200: Team color background and border with a white stripe separating them. Series 300: White background with team color border. All logos will be numbered for easy separation and inclusion into OOTP5 as follows: Atlanta Braves 101 logo15.bmp Atlanta Braves 201 logo15.bmp Atlanta Braves 301 logo15.bmp This way, someone could pick and choice the ones that they want to use for each team since they will be in alphabetical order or easily clump all of one series together. By simply removing the team name and series number they will have a logo named properly for the game. The hard part has been finished, which was making sure all of the logos themselves were correctly proportioned to the frames and making sure the edge blending was done well according to the colors used. All that is left is for a double check from within the game for any transparency issues and then everything should be ready to go. |
