Expected current vs. Expected talent
I'm guessing these are predictions on the player's performance for the upcoming season but what's the difference in them and how are they calculated?

My guess is that expected current is the stats the player should expect for the season based on the players ratings, the other players ratings, the modifiers, etc.. So if a player's batting average is 20 points lower than expected, he has been underperforming based on his rating so far for the season.
Expected talent I really don't know. Maybe potential???? Last edited by Reed; 03-16-2024 at 02:10 AM. |

Expected talent stats would be the estimated result if the player's ratings match their current potential ratings. If you change the potential ratings in the editor, you will notice the expected talent stats will also change.

That would seem likely, as different screens and reports in OOTP use “Potential” and “Talent” interchangeably (incidentally, why I question whether TCR has any effect on players older than the development window; though it is possible that it does by in effect simultaneously altering the identical current and potential ratings of fully developed players).
