Potential Disappearing after Age 30

Sometime a few versions ago there was a change put in that made any player, after they turned 30, have their displayed 'potential' pitching/batting ratings reduced to match their 'current' ratings, even if their actual potential ratings exceeded the current ratings. So that guy who never developed that curveball will see their potential drop from 7 to 1, or the guy who never quite put together his plate discipline sees his Eye drop from 9 to 6, etc.

Only happens as soon as a guy turns 30, and I sort of understand the reasoning (potential just isn't potential after a certain point...) but it takes a piece of flavor out of leagues that only display Potential and hide Current ratings. In a potential only league, it's up to you to figure out, based on performance, where a guy is versus his potential ratings. And ever since the inputting of this change, you now know exactly where any 30+ age player is at any time.

That mercurial 30-year-old who sometimes plays like an all-star? Once his potential drops there's no more mystery around what he might be able to do. That aging 38-year-old? No more nuance figuring out how sharply or gracefully his skills might be declining, they instantly drop as soon as his current ratings go down whatsoever.

I'd love if this change could be reverted or at least as an option to keep the displayed talent always at the player's Potential levels.

Even worse is when you play historical, import with PEAK Potential Season, with Talent Change Randomness and RECALC off. Everyone 30 and peak seaons over 30 will never get there.
