NPBL Washington Griffins open.
Traditional baseball in the modern era: the National Pastime Baseball League.
In a world where the National Pastime is king, baseball enjoys the benefits of modern sports, without the disadvantages. Most players stay with their teams (they all get paid in full); divisional opponents play each other more often; there is no major-league DH; lavish stadiums draw millions of fans. ‘Baseball Strategy’ means everything; ‘money’ means naught. This is the world of the NPBL. Fictional players, no finances, no DH, no interleague; twenty-four state teams in six divisions. The NPBL has the details: the the correct city weather, staggered schedules, detailed statistics on the web, and more. 2000 was the first NPBL season, and the 2002 season is now one-quarter finished. The defending champion Washington Griffins are open. If you’re interested, email me: jberry(at)mm.st Jesse Berry, Commissioner |

Just to throw in my two cents, this was the first league I joined and it is still alot of fun today. Good for newbies and vets alike. The league has some great owners and this Washington Club is worth taking a look at.
