Intl Scouting Discoveries in OOTP 22

It feels like there's been a lot more scouting discoveries in this year's game than years past. I didn't adjust the settings at all, but when I go to 'Game Settings' >> 'League Settings' >> 'Players' it appears the International Scouting Discoveries is set to 'A lot (40 per year)'. Does anyone know if this is the default setting for this year's game? I'm feeling kind of bummed because I see in the drop down there is a 10 per year "default" listed.

Also, if set to 40 per year, which is a lot, does it offer the same number of discoveries to the AI?

I just have serious moral quams (I know that's lame) about fleecing the AI in any way when playing. My trade settings are turned all the way up and I finally won a trade, which I'm okay with given how hard it is. I just don't want to restart because I've been getting loads of Intl Discoveries, some of which are pretty decent prospects.

Seems like I may have had a slip of the hand when adjusting my settings.

I asked about it here too, and I didn't get an answer from the developers.

My current save, which I started in April, was set to 10 discoveries. I actually used commish mode to change it to 20 for a couple of seasons because I wasn't getting enough position players to fill out my DSL team and then changed it back to 10. I would just turn on commish mode and change to 10 and turn it back off.

We changed this because the DSL wasn't filling out enough in some saves, just like JerseyPirate mentions, but 40 was a slip of the fingers, we'd actually meant to change it to 20.

We'll drop it back down to 20 next patch.

I would think the setting is global and applies to the every team in the league regardless of human or ai control.

40 iafa, no problem... 1.33 per team per year.

40 discoveries per team per year? Gonna need a bigger boat. LoL

'normal' Used to be the out of the box setting. if the choice is 10 or 40, i'd go with 10 and increase number of draft rounds for better resolution. (not a suggesstion for default settings, but for players doing custom things)

Is this still supposed to be 40? Hasn't been changed or altered.

On a different but similar subject I also notice Minimum years for FA in *** and KBO are 8 still instead of 9.

This may be intended, but I thought I'd bring it up.
