4th column in reliever web stats
from html pages, it can't be WHIP cause numbers are all too high, what is it?

Yeah, that would be highly unlikely, that's 2.5 holds per game.
I think it is some kind of error, but don't know for sure.

2.5 holds isn't that far out of the question if you had a deep pen and really wussy starters (and some luck)(and a lot of wins)(okay, it's pretty implausible). But the Micajah Harpe case disproves that theory as well.
Love the names though. But where are Jack, Jim, and Jose? |

Well, I've figured it out, but it's really too bizarre.
It's the guy's (HA+BB)/2, rounded randomly up or down to the nearest integer. No, really, I swear. Add it up: Code:
HA BB (HA+BB) XX Crown Royal 17 7 24 12 Glen Livet 6 3 9 4 Jesse Pippins 14 7 21 10 Micajah Harpe 33 6 39 19 Elizabeth Bathony 9 4 13 6 Joe Mattern 17 2 19 9 I pulled all those stats straight from the page linked by scprideandms. I don't know what it all points to, but there you go. Anybody have any other data points we can compare and see if my theory holds true? *edit: smart enough to type it out in notepad first, dumb enough to get the alignment wrong anyway. Good job. I looked at those figures for five minutes and couldn't figure anything logical. Now I can sleep easier, thanks

Looks like an incomplete calculation... heading toward some kind of an on base average or something ?

It's almost WHIP:
(HA+BB)/2 = XX or (HA+BB)/IP = WHIP Just change the 2 to IP, and it'll display WHIP just like for the starters, right? |

I think ghulten has it. Maybe it will get on the things to fix for the next patch list. I'm sure it was just a simple oversite.

FYI: Jack Daniels is in AAA (OF) , I had a Jim Beam and a Jose Cuervo once but they have since been traded and I think renamed. Also in the Majors are P Stoli Absolut, OF Hava Beer and SP Bud Wiser. Many more in the minors
