Kershaw 99

After opening the starter packs I used my 1,000 PP to open a regular pack and received a 99 Clayton Kershaw right off the bat.

I see the odds listed and it seems like I won the lottery on my first ticket, I just wanted to know if like... does everyone get pretty lucky on that first pack, to compel them into playing/buying packs, or am I just a fortunate son?

PS I love it, hadn't played OOTP since the '17 version and I'm very happy to be back

That's good luck. He'll crush the early leagues. Unfortunately, at Diamond and Perfect level his Movement gives up too many HR. But, you are weeks away from that mattering while he racks up wins and PP achievements.

nope, usually that extra 1000 PP gets you a silver if you are lucky, more often 1 or 2 bronze players. A diamond there is a great stroke of luck. Enjoy!

He never performed for me, but regardless he should sell for a good amount!

To be blunt: He's not great.

He'll eat up innings and get a lot of Ks, but he also is very prone to giving up the long ball and with the quality of RH bats as you move up through the ranks, he's really going to struggle.

Syndergaard is probably better for a similar amount of PP. There are also quite a few high OVR Golds that will give you much better results (03 Halladay, for example)

Good news is that you can probably fetch 8-12k PP for him depending on the day. (Got 14k for mine last week)

Though there are a quite a few better, it's funny that my LHP Kershaw has the lowest ERA in Perfect League for my team... ahead of Drysdale, Nomo, Sutton (and Buehler). People say LHP are worse in Perfect and others say Kershaw is garbage, and yet...
