Request for Royals Stadium (1973-1990) ...
... I've tried looking around everywhere for a 3D ballpark file for Royals Stadium, as it looked from the time it opened until about 1990.
I saw a file labeled 1973 and although it looked great it was clearly modeled after the way the ballpark looks now. Here are a couple of photos of the park, one in 1973 and the other in 1988. I believe all the seats were red during this period, though I could be wrong about that. Also included are the ballpark dimensions and park factors. I'm a huge fan of 1970s baseball history & it would be great to have this one available. Thanks in advance! |

Oh yeah, it definitely is very close. I was simply thinking that I'd missed a file, or was looking in the wrong place; something along those lines.

It does look like grass, but it is Astroturf.
Maybe the relative new-ness of the turf made it look more like grass. |

Royals Stadium
Your version of Royals Stadium is really good, but the video board in left field wasn't added until mid-1980's. If you look at this photo, https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...hmentid=552719 the video board and left field waterfalls hadn't been built yet. Would you be willing and able to remove those items and restore the left field to its original? My childhood baseball memories thank you.
