Recalc

I haven't used recalc before. Will the players retire at the same point that they did in real life? If so, won't that enable me to trade players whose careers were cut short for whatever reason to the unsuspecting AI right before their careers end? Is this a known exploit?

What about minor league players who never made the majors in real life? How do they work with recalc on?

Players only retire according to history if you have the option for "retire according to history" selected.

If you want players to play on past their actual retirement days, I recommend using a combo of recalc and the OOTP development engine. That way players will age and decline accordingly. Without the development engine, players that are out of recalc years, basically get set back to their last recalc numbers over and over.

Interesting! So a guy like Kal Daniels on 5 year recalc, who was out of baseball after the age of 28, would just be the average of his aged 23-28 seasons forever? Or would each year drop off until by age 33 his ratings would be equal to his age 28 ratings?
