When/why does "do not disturb" not mean do not disturb?

I'm trying to run a bunch of seasons and get a new league a history. I have already taken control of the team I plan to GM, however. But I put it on Do Not Disturb mode so it can sim seasons fast in the background while I, say, write posts like this one.

I even, after the first "Disturb" also changed the control settings to let the AI handle everything for the team. But I still keep finding it stopped to tell me someone is eligible to come off the DL or needs to be removed from the DFA list. Avoiding that is what Do Not Disturb is for. I then end up hitting the button to have the AI set up the organization, but it shouldn't stop simming, period. It could be stuck on something it thinks it needs my input for while I'm typing this. Is this a bug...?

i don't think mixing those works as you think it does... do not disturb will handle things but won't do certain things at all -- not sure if delegating influences that or not, you'll need to test that yourself to know for sure.

i would delegate all and turn off notification emails and you can simulate without interruption and the team witll function properly.

i'm not certain a team functions the same exact way as if it was just an AI gm running things when a human gm delegates to asst gm. you may want to hold off on taking control, until you want to actualyl start making the decisions. i have a feeling it takes a more cookie-cutter approach as opposed to using the asst GM attributes.

if you want a successful history, hire the gm and scout when needed. make sure they use good overall roster strategies and the scout is decent... make sure they value various budgets alot so that you spend enough in them.

or if you are taking a hands off approach, anyway, then just don't take control until the time comes. avoid any potential unforseen issues.
