Question About Team Colors, Logos and Uniforms Screen

What does the box on the upper right mean?

You can check the box to lock team logos and textures (and prevent auto update when the game is open).
Sorry, I don't understand what this means... should I check it or not?

Another question:

I set the jerseys to always "zoom out" so the full team name is shown.

But it doesn't seem to hold... I am constantly resetting them to 'zoom out".

I always update the pictures Now.

What am I not doing right?

Here is the screenshot for Jersey zooming.

Does "random angle" mean it will rotate the photo angle randomly?
I never see the angle change... they are always straight on.

What is the difference between "update this team's pictures NOW" and "Request pictures update" ?

Do these features work?

I'm beginning to think they don't.

Your help would be appreciated.

I am not sure how the lock button works, I just click them all to make sure the uni's dont change, lol

Team picture will create a full team pic of all 25 guys, picture update will update ( I believe ) the individuals picture...

The Zoom out is for use of the baseball card pic, I dont think it will adjust the individuals pic on his player screen...Random angle may also be for baseball card...

I am not 100% but I think thats how those buttons work..Hope I helped..

Thanks.

I also check the box hoping that it will stop the AI from changing any picture settings... but I don't think it works.

Does anybody know what would happen if you didn't check the box?

It's just irritating to see a player picture in the stats and the team name is not showing... it happens often and on a lot of screens... it shouldn't be that way... but hey, I can live with it... It's been this way at least since OOTP12.

I too like to have the angle zoomed out for more jersey. The place to set it (and keep it set) is not on that screen, but in the Settings menu, 3D and Facegen tab.

It still won't change any photos that are already zoomed in, but new ones will all be zoomed out. So will updated photos. And because it's a global setting, it stays like that for each game you create.

Let me know if you're having trouble finding it and I'll post a screenshot later today...

Okay Eugene (and anyone else who's interested).

If you go to the File menu, and then choose "Settings" (about 2/3rd of the way down), you'll get a box that pops up on your screen. These settings are global, so what you set here will be true for every game you play in OOTP17.

As you can see from the screenshot, there's a tab called "3D & FaceGen". Click on that, and you'll need to set the three options I've circled. You want FaceGen zoom and Profile Picture zoom both set to Out, as you can see, you'll get more of the jersey that way. I like FaceGen angle set to random, it makes it more realistic, otherwise, everyone is straight-on looking at the camera and that's just not the way team photos are.

FaceGen zoom sets the baseball cards and mouse-over pictures, and profile picture zoom sets the pictures on the player screens.

From what you've said, these settings will give you want you want. Remember, though, any player pictures that have already been made won't be changed straight away. You'll have to either wait until the system updates them (after the player is traded, or about once a year when the player gets older) or you can generate it yourself if you notice a player whose picture is zoomed in.

Man, BigRed75, you are some kind of genius.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you so much.

I never use 3D so I didn't even look at that screen.

This should solve my problem with the mystery of the everchanging and ever zooming in of the player photos.

Hey, many gamers may think this photo problem is of little importance.
But not to a sick mind like mine.

Remember me... I'm the guy that takes summer cruises to Ruthlandia and Tycobbian on a regular basis... my wife and I are thinking of retiring there, too.
