Team only has Relief Pitchers
I have set up a third-tier minor league and, obviously, there were not enough Starting Pitchers in free agency for each team as the majority of the teams only have Relief Pitchers and these are never included in the starting rotation. As a consequence 'Jim Unknown" starts for most teams most games.
Is there a way of having the teams use Relief Pitchers to start if no starting pitchers are on the roster? If so, or even if not, do I have to go into each team individually and update it someway? Is there a 'mass' way of doing this? Apart from going into each team and editing players from relievers to starters I cannot see how to do it. I have ghost players on. Thanks |

If you do not use Ghost Players, RP will start even if their Stamina is 1 (1-10) scale

if you're not too worried about the minors, just let it roll with ghost players. they are temporary and never accrue stats or records etc... (assuming records?)

Thanks both.
I was using ghost players and maybe that was where the problem arose. I thought by doing that it would fill the roster with starting pitchers if there weren't any. I don't mind ghost players in my minors but I'm not a big fan of Jim Unknown pitching in my championship final, which has happened the last two series. Thanks again |

If you set up a new league, you could always fill them with fictional players, and I expect that each team would then get a few new starters to use. There would be a chance that those new players could reach the majors eventually, but you would at least avoid having Jim Unknown pitch for both teams.

Thanks, Matt
I should have added that I am playing in a fictional universe with real-life players (in 1936 season now), hence the reason I was trying to limit the amount of fictional players in the universe. |
