Association Not Responding
I am looking for a little advice.
I was setting up a new association (fictional). I first simmed 10 years to build history. Then I set the league to expand by four teams. After the expansion, I wanted to sim another ten years. Unfortunately, it stops simming after a year (I believe some time in June). The program states that it is no longer responding and closes. Once I reopen the program I try to sim again (from the most recent save point), but the program does the same thing after only simming another two weeks. Here are my questions: 1. Is it safe to keep this current association and try again or should I start over? 2. Is there something in my set up that might have triggered this or is just bad luck. Appreciate the suggestions. I have not deleted it as of yet (hence question 1), but not sure how best to proceed. I am on the latest patch. Last edited by blazertaz13; 05-16-2016 at 10:53 AM. Was the second crash on the same date as the first one (ie. both during the draft, for example)? Please upload your league files (How to FTP files to OOTP Developments - Powered by Kayako Help Desk Software) and we can have a look.
You can also try disabling the threading (File -> Settings -> Number of Helper Threads to 0) and see if you still experience crashes. That can help us debug what sort of issue this is. But please upload your league file to us so that we can hopefully resolve the problem. |

I did upload the *.dat files to the FTP site under WCBA take 5.lg.zip. You were correct that the date the association dies was the same "June 1st or 2nd 2011". I will try and disable threading as suggested above as well. I just changed the threading as suggested above and it appears to have gotten past the problem date. Okay, looks like some teams were having some weird roster issues that were not working very well with our threading code. I'd suggest to keep running your league with threading disabled until the next patch is released. Sorry for any inconvenience.
