Will that white space in the team name bar around Justafan logos be fixed in 17?

In 16, if you used Justafan's circular logos, they appeared within a white square background on the team name bar, in glaring contrast to the rest of the bars. If you used a Justafan circular logo for the league, on the other hand, there was no such white background and the logo appeared properly with the correct background. The OOTP Nickname Project uses Justafan's logos.

Is this fixed in 17? If not, can it pethaps get on a patch list?

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

It was mandated by MLB last year, for the purpose of displaying logos more prominently. The logos the MLB supplies are transparent, and therefore the white box doesn't show up when you use those...I don't think the MLB cares about Justafan's logos.

I guess we can not use Justafan's logos then.

The more pertinent user to ask is Justafan.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen him around here in months. I have a bad feeling that actual MLB/historical mods are being nudged out by the new licenses. I hope I'm wrong. More reasons to play fictional if so, I guess.

Not true at all...the white square in the menu drop down will just be there. There is nothing to fix here.

Well, except maybe making the logos transparent, unless only the MLB logos can do that.

If the MLB logos can have a transparent background then so can the rest. I'll take a close look at one and figure out how they are locking their background layer.

It shouldn't be too much trouble to figure out. I hope.

Why? One can always mod the game as they see fit. If modders quit making something maybe it's because the in game graphics are better than or the same as what they would have done? From what I've seen all licensed graphics are top notch and is something I imagine MLB requires. This is a good thing.

No need for real MLB unis IMHO as the ones now licensed are better than the mods, sleeve patches and no pinstripes through the Cubs logo on their jersey come to mind right away. The good thing is with home and away already done it leaves the modder only alternates to make if someone wants those. Also leaves more time to make historical unis. Maybe these will also be included at some time and that would be great too IMHO for the same reason that MLB isn't going to let it in unless it is top notch.

Nothing has changed other than top notch unis, caps, logs etc are included in the game and I don't have to go looking for them. If I don't like them I can always find others from the mod community or make my own. It's a win - win.

I think this is the most-likely scenario.

If you use MLB or Cephashames team logos then there is no white space. If you use Justafan's circular logos, then there is white space between the outer edge of the circular logo and the square it fits in. But if you use a Justafan logo for a league logo, then the league logo does not have white space around it. Weird, and inconsistent.

Because of the size of the graphic, IIRC. The smaller logos are deemed to be less visible on their own; the league logos, not so much. I understand, though, consistency is often the desirable end.

And that is exactly what we don't have: team and league logos work differently.
