44 Team, 166 game Schedule Request
Trying to make this as simple as possible. Here is my request:
-2 Sub-Leagues, 4 Divisions, 6 teams each (22 teams per SL) -70 Divisional games, 14 against every divisional team. One home and one away 4 game series and one home and one away 3 game series. -96 Non-divisional games, 6 each against the remaining 16 non-divisional teams. One home and one away 3 game series. -No interleauge play. -Season start date March 1st. -All-Star game between season and playoffs. -Season starts with 15 games of divisional play and ends with 20 games of divisional play for each team, with the other 35 games in a block midseason. -Every other Monday off. -If possible, Sunday doubleheaders for every team. Thanks to anyone who decides to take a crack at it! |

I am looking at the numbers and it doesn't seem to add up.
You want 22 teams over 4 divisions, that means you have something like this set up: 6/6/5/5 You want 14 games vs. division opponents and 6 vs conference opponents. For division 1 (that has 6 teams), this works well. 14 x 5 division opponents = 70 6 x 16 conference opponents = 96 equals 166 (conference opponents are divisions 2/3/4 teams of 6/5/5 = 16 teams. For the 5 team divisions, you have this: 4 opponents x 14 games = 56 games 17 conference opponents x 6 = 108 games (conferences 1/2/3 teams 6/6/5) equals = 158 games. Need to have a more defined set up before proceeding. |

Shoot I knew I shouldn't have tried to do the math on 2 hours of sleep. Let me go back and figure it out. Sorry!
