Databases for Historical Teams
I am not new to the game, but just looking for some help with an issue I am having. I tried the troubleshooting and also submitted a help ticket but to no avail.
I cannot import ANY historical teams into any league I attempt to make. I have tried to open the files(folders) with both Excel and Open Office but when the screen comes up to add a team, no teams show up for any year selected. Now, do I have to move this folder into another folder? In previous versions I did not have any issues importing historical teams. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Nothing has changed in this regard. You go to league setup, edit league structure, then import historical team.
Not sure why you're opening the files in excel or open office unless you're trying to edit something? |

I will post a screenshot later this evening.
As for trying to open the dBs, regardless of what is done, I keep getting a message asking to choose a program to open them with. Regardless of whichever program is selected, it shows that NOTHING is in the dB. |

I'll ask again - why are you trying to open the db?

The database is in a proprietary format, IIRC. It has an .odb extension, which makes it seem like an OpenOffice database file, but it's not.

Bluenoser, I am not trying open this file in the traditional sense. I am just looking for a format that it can be read in. For some reason, it shows up as an icon that would ask for a windows program to open it.
All the other files show they are the comma deleted version of excel, except the historical.odb files. |

The onliest thing that can read an OOTP13 ODB file is OOTP13. The ODB extension stands for OotpdevelopmentsDataBase.
