Crashes when a team roster link is pressed

When I go to my team and try and click anything related to my roster the game stops responding and instantly crashes. I can go to such tabs as Front Office, but if I were to click Possible Free Agents the game crashes.

I can't think of any reason for it to be happening and it began occurring out of nowhere. I'm just starting to get into the month of September, but it was never a problem prior to this. Any ideas?

Does this happen with all leagues or just one of them? Do you have a backup of the malfunctioning league you could try?

I checked my other leagues and it is a problem with them as well. Would an uninstall and re-install be the solution?

Now it really doesn't make sense. I uninstalled and re-installed, even putting on the new patch. Old leagues still crash, made a new league, and that crashes as well.

Everything worked just fine before, I don't understand what could possibly be causing any kind of problem.

It could be an OS issue, did you change or install anything lately? Going back to an older restore point might help as well.

I'm having the exact same problem.

I had an issue with the faces shortly before this, so I deleted the faces.dat file and the game loaded up fine. After that the game would crash anytime I clicked on a link to any lineup/roster/pitcher screen. I don't know if this happened the first time I ran it after the face gen error or not.

I uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. I've started a new game and have the same issue.

I am also having this issue. It started happening after the patch was installed. Everytime I hit the roster tab it crashes. Was fine until I installed the patch.

Mine started before the latest patch (patch #4). Installed the patch today and it didn't make a difference.

I can't do anything in those tabs without an instant crash.

Same thing thing for me. Windows XP and has been Windows XP the whole time I've had X. No big computer changes from working to not working, it just happened out of nowwhere.

This is my new problem as well. I have Windows XP. I have done nothing to the computer other work on my dissertation besides play OOTP....Dissertation is getting more work that OOTP but still I would like to blow off a little stress with the game.

I have the same problem, but its only for minor leagues (all leagues) on Windows XP, and didn't emerge until the most recent patch.

anyone figure this out...this is my problem plus there no writing so thats probably something with the fonts in the game folder.

My game has started crashing every time I click the Waiver Wire or Free Agent tabs. Uninstalled and re-installed and it still crashes. Windows Vista.
