How to Limit Players in Draft?
I play with just 8 teams, so I don't want EVERY rookie coming into a draft each year 'cuz then I'll end up with a superstars only league. Can I restrict draftees to being from certain historical teams only? Or do you have any other tips to limit players in a draft? Thanks.

I suppose that while you're setting up your league you could choose the option 'assign players to historical teams' rather than running a draft. No one team should get too many great players assigned each year, but the ones that would go to teams not in your league will just be dumped into the free agent pool where anyone can sign them.
Really, that won't improve your situation at all, unless maybe you hit the 'delete all free agents' button as soon as each year's players have been assigned. And if you aren't using historical teams, you couldn't attempt this at all. The only other option that occurs to me would be to go into the database and remove (delete) every second player prior to each year's draft pool being revealed. I hope someone more clever comes along with a better idea. |
