2006 NFL Loser's Pool: Week 8

Week 7 was a rough one. Maybe it was the late posting of the "official" thread. Maybe it was due to the fact that seven weeks in, players are running out of patsies. Actually, it was pretty much the Vikings and Texans who combined to kick six participants to the curb. Tampa Bay and KC knocked out three more. Still, fifteen contenders march on in hopes of being crowned King of the Losers.

Im not among the above, LL, but pretty sure I should be. Picked Washington to lose last week, which they were gracious enough to do, and am taking the no-brainer choice this week: Niners get smooshed in Chicago. Cheers, rmax.

molarmite and magnet have only differed once this season on their picks. In week 5 magnet went with Green Bay while molar picked the Jets.

Seven weeks in and all the teams remain eligible for at least one pool participant. The Redskins are open to just two players. Oakland is available to four.

This past Sunday Tampa Bay and Houston joined New Orleans, Minnesota, and Cincinnati as teams that have eliminated players in more than one week.

Serious? San Fran has no chance. Thus my pick of San Fran.

In week six I picked Arizona to lose, not Oakland - Although I did make a reference to Oakland/Denver in my post.

As much as I love the Broncos.. I just can't pick for or against them. One for obvious reasons, the other because I always worry that my heart is leading my head. =)
If it wasn't clear that's cool, as I have no issue with taking either one later on, given that they're both pretty terrible. I don't see myself picking either one this week, though.

Looks like I still have Houston, Tampa Bay, Washington, Detroit, Tennessee and either Arizona or Oakland.. so I'm going out on a slightly bigger limb this week to try and save those picks, and hanging my hat on the Patriots for a second straight week.

Minnesota to lose, at home, against New England.

I'm going to pick a 4-2 team to lose and go with Seattle. Let's hope injuries drag them down as much as I think they will.

Not really. No Hasselbeck + No Alexander + a so-so defense is trouble. It's a very smart pick.
