Just a Heads Up...

My dynasty Summer of '67 will be turned into an online league roughly around 1950, and a few of the avid readers are hopping on board. We won't be ready until the end of March, just in time for baseball season, but if you'd like to hop on board feel free to go over and make a post. The premise of the league is that the pennant races died out when the MLB expanded divisions and teams, so the league will always stay in a 2 division format, probably with 10 teams at most (10 AL/10 NL). I'm simming through the history, and right now we're in 1916, with Ruth about to come on board. The teams already claimed are:

Myself- Brooklyn Dodgers
metsgeek- Boston Red Sox
batted balls - Chicago White Sox
gbmoore - Baltimore O's
The Professor - St. Louis Cardinals
jf623- Chicago Cubs
JoeRockHead- New York Yankees

This is a pretty random question, but why did you name your league Summer of '67 if you're starting in 1901?

1967 is considered by many to be the greatest Pennant Race of all-time. The league is based on pure, classic Pennant Races. The opning paragraph explains the race.

Remangii- Thanks, part of my decision to go with 1950 was that I didn't want to steal your thunder of a 1965-1975 league. I'd love it if we both revived the historical crowd.

I guess that's a good enough explanation, even though it's hella misleading.

Don't judge a book by its cover, and read the dynasty!

Given the poll results, there's probably a better market for your league since most people voted for the 45-49 or 50-54.

70's has 9 votes, 50's has 8? Plus, I saw that you voted for 1970 so I figured that was the direction you were going.
