I think it is time to call it a night. I am scoring 7 runs a game and giving up 8. Lol.... See you tomorrow.....

You lucky one...the Silver Pirates lost 12 in a row while I was away. I don't even know what to say....I think that is the longest streak I have had so far (and still going...).

I didn't see that coming. Your team was playing so well, and then the bottom fell out. It's hard to explain.

Even more amazing, Starting pitchers was pretty solid in almost all the games.
Innings, Earned Runs 7, 1 8, 0 7.1, 3 7, 2 6.2, 0 5.2, 2 6.1, 1 I would take those results every time.... I guess I cursed them with my comment about being a .500 team. They are back to .500 now after losing 13 in a row. Last edited by joehart; 02-19-2019 at 09:08 PM. |

Do you change anything during the playoffs? Most of my playoff wins I bought players before the playoffs, reduced my pitching staff and added a glove or pinch runner.

Not pretty solid, I say wonderfully solid. I would die for numbers like that from my starters.

I change my rotation to 4 starters and depending on my Opponents Park I change my lineup but I keep the same players that got me there. I must do SOMETHING wrong because I have gotten there every season and have won only 1 Championship.

1 is more than most!!! Playoffs come down to the matchups and luck... When I lost in the bronze world series .. I could not believe it ... my team was so much better ... and then in the perfect world series against the Monterey Bay Whales who had beaten the silver sox ... would then lose to my team 4-1 ... so... sometimes ... one just has to be lucky |

Also, if it makes you feel better .. you have knocked me out of the playoffs the last two years!!! So ... if your doing something wrong .. then ... I must ... apparently suck at life! haha!

I am sure glad the Breakers are leaving town. I got a no-hitter and a two-hit shutout thrown at me in consecutive games. They put my whole team in a slump!

So I go to the auction to get Cap Anson for a high batting average. Only to find he was sold by someone else in the 412 and he has not been batting well in this league.
Hopefully he will like Niagara Falls better than Louisville?

I had been patiently waiting for weeks for Nap Lajoie 98 to show up in the AH and he never did, even though I had 200K, there was nothing to spend it on. So, finally I plunked down 100K today for Cy Young 96, supposedly one of the best pitchers in the game, we'll see.
Later today, Nap Lajoie 98 becomes available! ![]() Luckily, the BIN was well below the last 5 price and I was available to get enough PP by quick selling DeGrom. He had to go anyway, to stay under the cap. 5K left --- it's pack time! |

Nice...two new toys to plug in and play with.
I owned Cy96 a while back and he fell mostly into the same category as Kevin Brown, Zach Greinke96 , Spud Chandler, Greg Maddux93/94, Walter Johnson97/96PEAK, Kershaw96, and Matt Harvey. Good luck. I lost quite a few games to Cy96 in the playoffs :-) He should be a nice improvement over deGrom. |

You are far from sucking my friend. I always have great respect and fear of your team every season.😁

Ok, My experiament worked at far as errors went but not wins. I was a much more solid team when I watched them play and field but instead of winning 9-7 with come backs I was losing 3-2 with nice fielding . Lol. So I have to tell myself , Do I want to look pretty or do I want to win. So I am going back to what I know. It might hurt watching them on the field but at least they end of winning. I really did enjoy the tight way they played. Just did not enjoy the losing part of it.😩

Ok, The next 10 games will be brutal. Not only do I play good teams but three of my starters are cold and will probably lead to losses when they pitch. I started out 30-32 last season so if I can get to that again I know I can come back. (I hope) 🤞

I messed up everything by trying to experiment. I have no idea what I did or what I am doing. I over think and being as dumb as I am that is a very dangerous thing to do. Now to get out of this mess I would punt.(If it was football) ok, If I can just pull things back together by halftime I just might be able to right this ship for the second half and make a run for another playoff spot. That is if I do not get any more brainy ideas about how to play D and watch the wonderful plays they make while losing the damn game.😡
