I agree. But what do you do when you go through 120 without a winner? Replays are quite an exhausting way to do it, no?

It would be quite dangerous to let the players play more than 120 minutes at the upper levels though. Injury risks skyrocket.

Id like to see games played until an actual goal is scored, perhaps letting an extra sub on the field every x extra times so that the starting 11 doesn't die.

They used to play replays, in 76/77 Everton v Aston Villa in the League Cup final played 3 games all going to extra time (360 mins) before they finally got a winner.
