2 - Does changing the ball size help at all?
4 - Does turning off condensed pbp help? |

3 - If you enable the amateur draft and disable the import of historical rookies, you should get an amateur draft of fictional players. Be sure to turn on the Advanced view under League Options.

No, I can see the other team's reaction. I'm talking about where someone from your own team would say something like "That's not too bad, but I would ask for something more, like another prospect." Or they'd say, "That's a good deal, I hope they go for it."

Ah, excellent. This version has so many more features and options, it's easy to miss one. Thanks!

One other question--is there a way to get rid of older games you've started as part of learning the game, but won't continue to use?
EDIT: Never mind, I see that if you (a bit counter-intuitively) go into "load game," you can delete previous games from there... Last edited by mlcor; 06-22-2021 at 11:05 PM. |

Load Game
You can delete any league in the list unless that league is the currently active league (and there always will be one active league). |

If there won’t be pitch-by-pitch option, there is a problem with rain. Rain often starts during a pitch we don’t see. So all of a sudden there’s a message about rain and the pitchers are fatigued and we were not aware it had started raining.
Need to find a way to inform player of important events that happen on unseen pitches. |

Want to go from a 4 rating to a 5? Add the ability to edit injuries (both adding and deleting) and changing teams (MLB or MiLB).
These would be total game-changers for the way I play. |

And we will add pitch by pitch mode in a future update. There's definitely a number of people who have requested that. Sent from my SM-A526W using Tapatalk |

My device of choice for playing the game is my iPad, but I'm giving this a run on my phone. I prefer to play historical but I wanted to give the 2021 season a shot. I certainly don't mind throwing the developers another $5 for their efforts. I find it a bit interesting that people want full historical minors. It's nice to have notable/famous minor leaguers, but dealing with full minor league systems on small screens is a bit of a chore and it's downright intimidating sometimes.

I just got back from 10 days traveling to Jamaica and downloaded this. I am surprised at how much of OOTP is in the mobile version. My work breaks, and wait times in public just got a lot better.

After getting to play for a bit I have to say this was an awesome job. The game runs smoothly on both my iPad and my iPhone. Thankfully there were choices of font size as the default was a little small for these eyes. It took me time to find my way to play as for the mobile game I want to play a "lite" version of how I play the desktop version. I am underway by replaying the 84 Cubs season.
I play games out and would like the text only option. The animations are smooth and they are great but I have found the game sucks a lot of battery life so I have to be a bit more careful when I am not going to be in position to plug my phone/iPad in. On average I am losing 9% battery life per game played. Probably because I logged so many hours on iOOTP & MLB manager my eyes are still drawn to the text even though I can watch the play-I would love the text at the top so I don't keep looking down. I see random debut in custom game-which is my favorite way to play. I haven't figured out how to make it work. If it can I would love to know how. Perfect team works well. Just about everything I do in the desktop version works as seamlessly. Overall this is much more than I anticipated (Now I know why it took a while) and is going to go further in increasing my antisocial behavior ![]() |

Two things I'm looking for that either I can't find, or don't exist.
1. Spring training stats? Is this viewable as a split, or at all? 2. Renewing all of your minor league free agents at once. Is this somewhere I'm missing? Thanks! |

I love this game. In general though I want every feature that was available in MLB Manager 2018 and the most useful features from OOTP 22. I am certainly willing to wait until the game evolves.
I understand how big a job this was and I want it to be done right rather than fast. |

I have played OOTP from the very first version, and played iOOTP and then MLBM from the start as well, so my observations on this new mobile game are naturally shaped by this past experience. I have only played a few Go! games all the way through and simmed 25 years or so of a fictional league, but have some initial reactions.
The depth of the game is impressive; obviously, so much more here than with MLBM (but then this is what you would expect since it is the same engine as OOTP desktop). But the level of detail wrt features, options and the like seems mostly devoted to franchise and league-level play ... including the creation of alternate baseball universes (although the mods you can use with the desktop game, and the often wonderful rabbit holes you can end up going down -- thinking of uniform design in particular! -- nevertheless make the alternate universes in Go! less customizable). Yet I very much like to play individual games (even in replays, trying to keep up the pace in terms of that particular MLB season, day to day) and here is where my biggest disappointment lies (maybe really my only significant disappointment): No pitch-by-pitch mode! I remember well how thrilled I was when Pursue the Pennant came out with the first serious (and realistic) pitch-level sim, after some three decades of batter-level board and computer games (yes, the designers of Earl Weaver, God bless them, put this in their game, but it was not clear how realistic it was in terms of being based on real life data). And this having pitch-by-pitch is what made me eventually devote more time to OOTP than PTP/Diamond Mind even for season replays (of course, the universe-creation opportunities in OOTP made it my choice from the start for everything but single season replays). And then the fact that iOOTP/MLBM had a pitch-by-pitch mode option was what made the mobile game so much fun for me: I could create a fictional baseball universe, play the deadball-style game if I wanted, do pitch-by-pitch management of my own team's games AND do all this right on my iPhone as I rode on the BART ![]() A bit more on customizing Go! ... As I said, you can certainly do a lot here but it would be great to have some detailed guidance on it all. But I assume eventually there will be a manual -- honestly, I have spent a lot of hours over the years pouring over the OOTP manual(s), and have always found it extremely helpful in navigating through what can feel like a maze at times. There has been feedback from some folks on being able to save a game and then return to it later. I have to concur, especially as I like to play individual games and when you realize you have to break way for some real life stuff but have not yet finished the game you are in, it can be frustrating. If you prefer to do sims of seasons, this will not really be a problem, but again, some of us like to play through entire games ... and do it pitch by pitch ![]() But enough of this -- all in all, OOTP Go! has been really fantastic for me so far; I am already devoting too many hours of my day and night (or so my wife ever so gently informs me) to playing it. Well done! Last edited by jjw; 06-25-2021 at 03:48 PM. |

Pitch-by-pitch was added in the latest patch. Save+Exit during game was added in the patch prior.
