And you know what? Pizza Nova (a chain here) used to give us free dipping sauces - now they don't. So what do I do? Should I stand in the store and call everyone who buys a "creamy garlic" dip "stupid" for buying it when they used to give it for free? Or do I not buy it?

Personally, I just refuse to buy the dip. I haven't bought one since they started charging for it. I didn't feel the need to throw a public tantrum and start calling everyone else names over it. Many people figure the dip is worth the extra quarter, I don't. So be it... it is their money, their perogative, and I really don't care if they buy it or not, I won't. So they can enjoy the creamy garlic dip - I will go without. That's my choice. I will and have, however, continued to buy their pizza because it is the best there is (IMHO).

I have the right to express my opinion freely, even if it **gasps** goes against Markus and Steve. If you dont want to read what I have to say, simply ignore it and move on,I promise I won't cry over it.

Q,

You certainly have the right to think what you like - difference is I won't call you stupid for not feeling you should have to pay for the upgrade. It's your choice, as is mine to pay gladly for it.

To me, I'm supporting Markus and his game. $10 isn't going to kill me, and I get something for it to hold me over until next Spring.

I don't think I said otherwise in regard your opinion - on the game at least.

You cannot use the argument of "well this isnt a patch, its adding features/etc" because already in the past they have added features and given it to us for free. Seems to me they got together and said:

"you know what,we can put out these MINOR upgrades and sell them instead of just giving them away for free. That equals more money for us in the end"

I admit that irritates me a bit. When I saw "Out of the Park Baseball 6.5 Expansion Pack Announced " I was thinking "oh cool, this is going to add a boatload of features and some new interface options/etc"...but then I see there are like 6 very small upgrades, one of which has been claimed a dozen other time in patches. "making the AI more realistic across the board"

Markus, please focus on OOTP7,please don't release patches and call them expansion packs and then charge for them.
This sounds EXACTLY like what I said. You view it as half-empty, I view it as half full. A game I spend a ton of time on is improved quite a bit and I'm glad this expansion pack exists, even if it does cost me a whopping $10. You say the features are minor but they look pretty nice to me.

heh... my wife came up with sour cream mixed with ketchup, which tastes vaguely like thousand island... but that does sound interesting - I'm guessing it is more like the Marinara sauce? I'll have to give that a try

Caesar dressing = "creamy garlic" and yeah, tomato sauce is as close to marinara sauce as you're ever going to find.

Homemade 1000 Island recipe

1 Egg, hard boiled
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1/4 cup Milk
2 tablespoons Ketchup
2 tablespoons Green hamburger relish
1 tablespoon Chopped green pepper
1 tablespoon Dehydrated onion flakes

Mash egg with fork, stir in rest of the ingredients.

I expect to be banned forwith for adding OT commentary to this thread :randy:

F'real. Geez guys, in his eyes he's just trying to keep from Spreading the Disease. There is no need to make some kind of Great Devide over it.

I paid $9 today for a sub and a drink that lasted me an hour.

The way I see it, I've already gotten AT LEAST $45 worth of gameplay out of OOTP 6.

Thank you Markus, I'll gladly pay the $10 for the patch.

I honestly dont think it is the opinion that irked some, it was the references to being "fanboys", "sheep" and "stupid" if you bought 6.5.
