I meant that you two wanted me to write to MT - or was this just a joke ribbing that I like him (and talk about him so much)? So you think I should write to the Rangers direct then? |

Yup worth a try, worst that could happen is a no reply and like I say what's it going to cost you 60p ? it's nothing, I was real bored that summer so it took a couple days to send them all and the buzz you get when they send a letter back or even more when it's a parcel far out weighs the cost.

We'll see what happens. At the least, I've enjoyed writing it, and I'm glad you pushed me to doing it.

11 games gone and I think the SPL got wrapped up today with Celtic winning and Hearts losing, Celtic now 8 points in front of Hearts and 13 in front of Rangers, It could easily be over in the next 3 weeks as they play both Kilmarnock and Hearts their two nearest rivals and with Rangers mid December if they win those 3 games then somebody best get the silver polish out.

And the crazy world of Italian football continues with nobody having won more games than Juventus but they still are second from bottom

Can't see it to be honest, I did think with their new manager they would run Celtic closer but looks like he's worse than McLeish was, plus doesn't help that they have no money to spend and nobody to sell to bring money in.

I'm in two minds who is the worst commentator I have heard this week, it's either the guy who did the River Plate v Banfield who sounded like David Platt and kept doing a weird Spanish acsent when he mentioned players names. Or it could be the guy who just did the Latics v City game on MOTD who sounded English but was doing a weird American acsent.

I was thinking that myself, but personally that wouldnt work considering I go to school within about 4 hours of all of them in the Grapefruit League.

they have a chance of promoting this season (though I doubt it), its a shame they got knocked out of Coppa Italia. Im more interested in what AC Milan and Lazio can do in Serie A despite the deficit.

ukhs, do you think the fact that you live overseas contributes to your successes?
What I'd do is write a letter to your team right around draft time talking about how much you wanted your team to take (insert first round pick) and you can't wait to see him take the field, etc. etc. You'd probably get some cool schwag for an up-and-coming player. |

Im a little suprised that the Goon Show didnt get even a hint of love from any of our posters of many ages and nationalities.
. I must admit, I listened to several consecutive epis and laughed and never got bored. Even though some of the stuff went right over my American head.

.My early days of baseball consisted of 1 live game that channel 4 showed between the Cubbies and Expos because they had a special American night, listening to the armed forces radio and despite me living near a US base at the time was very poor reception and getting videos from my cousin who got Sky Sports which used to show baseball games. It's the same with football though, I have stack upon stack of football programmes signed by full teams, in fact I have a full season of Latics programmes signed by every Wigan player who was on the team sheet and every away player that was on the team sheet but since the advent of ebay players don't like signing specially the big name players because they think 5 minutes after they have signed, it will be on ebay, the greed of a few as ruined it for the majority who just did it for fun and the buzz. |
