Yes. We've been linked with every right midfielder/winger in Spain in the last 12 months (we're pretty desperate for one). Personally I have an unfounded notion we'll sign Xabi Prieto from Real Sociedad.

They've got 3 very talented, very creative, very similar midfielders on at the moment - Xavi, Xabi and Fabregas - but no-one (a la Steven Gerrard) to grab the game and inject some tempo. They lack a little drive, as Spanish teams often have...

I know, just reinforcing it. I suppose it gets overstated a little - I'm sure some will be upset, as they don't have a Catalonia to cheer on anyway - but they'll certainly be blaming all the Madrid/'Castillian' players.
