How much slower can they go? The season will be a month old by the time the game comes out. It feels like opportunities are always missed with this game. I had a bug that scheduled 7 games on one day for the NCAA tournament, and the developers took my save upload and manually fixed it so it wouldn't ruin the save. and of course they fixed the bug.

they also put out multiple updates/bug fixes per year, and some updates even add features

in my experience, they've very involved and actually listen to feedback and suggestions. some things are easier to do or more realistic than others.

as long as they keep doing things like the above they can take their sweet time with releases as far as I'm concerned. anyway, I'd rather wait a month into the NHL season for a game with minimal bugs on release, then have them rush out a buggy game in time for the season

I agree with jdhockey83... The FHM team is amazing... they put out multiple updates a year, plus szczepam you have to realize there is alot more staff working on the OOTP game then there is FHM

And you can't really compare the development of OOTP and FHM, but most do because they are under the same umbrella. However, that doesn't equate to the same budget and resources available to each of them.

Yes, if they are allowed to take an extra month to finish up a game then by all means. I wish more developers would and or were allowed to do so rather than rushing it out "on time".

Jeff...

A couple of questions as far as this custom import league into the save.

a) In tonight's feature stream you showed how you could create MJHL league, I was wondering can you create a league and then assign them as a farm team to like WHL or something if you create them as a custom league

b) Can you create a league in the middle of a save so like say i decide to do 4-5 seasons and then add in BCHL can you import a league on July 1st in the middle of a save?

c) How does import league work if you say create OPJHL and then you have the U13 select team like will you be able to sign those players at the age of 15/16 type thing or no?

d) if you play in historical back in 2000 there was just a general AHL league can we create the AHL and have AHl teams for all NHL teams back in historical mode?

e) going back to importing leagues into a standard file... How you have all of the Canadian leagues like OHL, WHL QMJHL etc if we want to add more leagues how do we allow it to appear under the Canada list of leagues? like under the NHL tab?

Does the media attitude towards your team change over the seasons? Can a team that starts with cheerleader or aggressive media move the other extreme and how quickly can that happen?

Yes, they will. The one major difference with multiplayer leagues is the prospects tournaments: in multiplayer, the AI will handle the roster choice for human-run teams in those tournaments.

No, they can only be imported as a top-level league, not farm or junior.

No, adding new leagues mid-game was initially on the list of what we wanted to do this year, but it's going to be a very big project and there wasn't enough time to do both that and the new import stuff, so I'm hoping we can fit it in next year.

All leagues will import like a normal, non-junior league so you'll have the junior-age players in the first year, but will be able to sign older free agents and will have an 18-year-old draft at the start of the second season. So importing junior leagues is mainly useful for just getting the team/league structure data, not so much as actually running them as normal junior leagues. We'll try to improve that so we can give them the proper age limits, but it's going to be complicated.

No, you won't be able to set up the affiliations between teams in the league, the AHL will just be a different, lower-reputation league.

Just to be clear: you won't be importing leagues into a standard game. The import feature is for custom leagues only. The leagues menu will show them under whatever country their nation is set to.

-there's now additional multiplayer debug output to the fhm_trace.txt file that will make it easier to figure out what's going wrong and which team data has the problem when file imports don't work properly
-the commissioner account can now draft for the currently-drafting team without needing to switch from one team to another
-the custom installation path should eliminate the issues some leagues were experiencing with OneDrive not syncing properly and screwing up league data when teams are importing/exporting (but you'll need to get your members to use it, the default Windows save location will still be in \documents)

No, no changes this year, had sound improvements on the list this year but they didn't make the final cut.

We've looked at it, but it's going to be a little complicated because of the dynamic way the chemistry ratings are handled in-game. If we can get it working, it may need to be a July 1-only thing.

I wouldn't mind having that option once a year. I find some players get chemistry with hardly playing on same line or same PP/PK and don't get chemistry with the players they played the most even after 3/4 seasons.
