There are other little tells like that by the pawns that happen AFTER you hit the button, but before the batter hits the ball....

I watch the games though, as a GM, with both teams managed by the AI. So all I'm saying is that I know what's going to happen before the play actually starts. As others have mentioned, it's apparently after, which would make sense, but that's never been part of my discussion since I don't manage the games myself.
