Empty News Messages - Page 2

I've seen this problem, but I've been able to fix it using the methods listed in this thread previously.

So basically I think what they're saying is if I select "0" to include all files, it'll work.

I'll try that on the next sim.

Robster, could you be specific about what steps you took to prevent this problem in an online league environment?

I tried several different methods and the end result is still the same: no news, boxscores, etc. in the league file that the owners download from within the game.

GBC, as commish, can you see all of the messages? If you log in as one of your GMs, can you see the messages?

Is messages.dat included in your league file? If not, could you see if doing that helps?

Yes, I can see everything.

I'll check the "logging on" instance.

I'll try to find you tonight if I have some free time. We need to hammer out that Mac issue, too.

The method I used was using "0" to include all messages. That generally fixes the problem. If it still doesn't, have the owners delete their messages.dat file. The game will regenerate that file when it needs to. The problem there is that you will have to find out if any messages got lost in the process.

I don't know what to do about the game not including the actual messages in the archive, though. That is over my head.
