Like the colours of the Texas logo ... I can see you're havin' fun with the toy!!!!!
BTW, and I'm not familiar with AI, but I know CorelDraw is similar, but CD can be had at academic pricing for about $100 US, an excellent deal considering you also get CorelPhotopaint, the Corel-counterpart to Adobe Photoshop. In the meantime, I'll keep enjoying your work ... keep at it, Pepeda! |

It's an excellent logo Pepe. It might help to make LA and Dodgers pop a bit more though. Maybe a bolder white outline?

One small critique I do have for you pepe, is that some of your logos could use some more contrast. I think the Texas Rangers logo is more along the lines of what you should be shooting for in terms of contrast until you have more experience with the nuances and particular subtleties of it.
Another example: The Hawks lettering in the first logo stands out much more than in the second logo, because of the white outline constrasting beautifully with the dark brown letters and beige background of the box.

It looks a lot better Pepe, and it looked good before. I miss the stars though which were outstanding.

Hi Guys,
since this is a thread for the first Drawn Logo here comes another one. Its for a Buddy in the CLB ( BTW. we have one Spot open in the League just check it out, a great League ) His Team is called Microsoft Bugs. Since i had a "Normal" Bug in the Start for his Logo i have done this. Its first Drawn with a pencil and than scanned to the computer. Than reworked on Illustrator. Critic and Comments are more than welcome.I´m looking for ideas what i could do to make it more look like a real Sport Logo( i mean to use it like a mascot like other teams do). If anyone has an idea let me know ![]() regards Pepe |

I personally like it as is Pepe. The writing stangs out well, particuarly where the Bugs is written. If you wanted it more like other logos, maybe make it a bit more cartoonish and place a cap on his head? Or have a bug swinging a bat?
BTW, did you see EC's thread about needing a logo for his Professional Baseball Alliance? I think you could make him a great original logo if you were looking for more stuff to do in illustrator. |

Another nice one pepeda, here are a couple of things I would do:
First, make the semi-tranparent back drop shape into fully visible. I am not saying that it doesn't look good, but real life teams would never do something like that because it is a drag to print something semi-tranparent. Next, I would change the colour of that backdrop shape to something that will either contrast or complement that main dark brown colour. I recommend you getting a colour wheel to help with deciding what colurs to use with certain colours. There are also numerous website that have the same type of information. Again, these are only my 2-cent and they are probably worth even less that that. Good luck!
