Sorry for the poor communication. Really looks good so far...with dodger blue "R" on white background. Make the circle that surrounds the "R" dark navy blue and give it a wider light blue trim...then put the city and nickname on a dodger blue background..."ROANOKE" in block letters done in white trimmed in light blue...."ROBINS" in script letters with tail in white trimmed in light blue. You will have 2 backgrounds...one white inside the circle and one dodger blue outside the circle. Try to make the trims wide enough to be seen well. Make the circle smaller if you need more room to get the city and nickname on it. I hope this is clearer. |

HARTFORD HALOS DESIGN IS FINE...not really much you can do with a halo... I just needed a nickname that began with an "h" and it had to be "heavenly" in nature for an LA ANGELS farm team. I like clear, simple designs to add variety to them. This is a good one. If possible, to add some variety in colors: make the lettering medium purple...right now they are black... and the background aqua/greenish blue...the background is now light or sky blue...keep the white trim on the city and nickname. DENVER DESPERADOS IS EXCELLENT IN COLOR AND DESIGN. I especially like the lettering, desperado and the star. If you can make the spelling "DESPERADOS", do it. I think that is the most accepted spelling. If it will take very long to do or mess up your design...leave as it is. I really like it. Last edited by Eugene Church; 06-29-2003 at 05:41 PM. |

Purple Halos logo
By the way, I usually save the file layers so that I can make quick changes to a logo if necessary. Might eventually have to start clearing some out, but right now I have tons of room on my hard drive. |

On the Hartford Halos... Would it be too much to ask you to go back to the light blue or sky blue background. I think it will go real well with the purple. You really do logos very well...very creative. Thanks for the changes. I will post the next set later this evening. Pretty much all we have left is a few major league logos. It is not necessary for you to do them tonight. |

I know I love to look at all of the logo threads, too. You can get some great logos and great ideas. The logos add a little bit of something special to the game. That's how I discovered these great logo designers that get all of the praise for this project..about 80 logos total. Only about 10 more to go. My special thanks to dbacks, knuckler, Markmeister, and Shub. (in alphebetical order...for they are all equally talented and gifted). Not only are they talented...they are nice human beings, too. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. |

Wow! 10 more - that's it? Gosh, I thought we had like another 50 or so. This is going much faster than expected. It would really be nice if we could finish before I leave for San Diego on Tuesday. I've only got one more to go, then I can do any resizing jobs neccessary and post all those.

Thanks for the changes on Hartford. The colors go well together. The lettering and trim look very nice. |

Okay, Eugene, I've finished my set, and in a few minutes, I'll go back and see if I need to do any resizing. Here's the first;

Here is your next set: If it's too difficult to do these logos, we'll make some adjustments. Let me know. TORONTO BLUE JAYS (go to www.chriscreamer.com) Look in "primary logos"...cartoon blue jay around a "T" holding a bat and ball. Put "TORONTO" in royal blue block letters trimmed in wide red...above the blue jay symbol. Put "BLUE JAYS" in royal blue block letters trimmed in wide red...below the blue jay symbol. All on a white background. TALLAHASSE TEE-JAYS USE THE SAME SETUP AS TORONTO...just change city and nickname. BROOKLYN DODGERS (go to www.chriscreamer.com) See "alternate logos". Use Brooklyn Bridge symbol in the center of the logo. Put "BROOKLYN" in royal blue block letters above the bridge symbol. Put "DODGERS" in royal blue script letters with tail...place it below the bridge symbol. (see "script logos" 1932-1957 for cursive Dodger script in blue) WASHINGTON SENATORS (go to www.logoserver.com) See defunct teams. Use 57-60 senator winding up to pitch team emblem. Place "WASHINGTON" below the senator in red script letters with wide navy blue trim...all on a white background. (see 1969-71 cursive red "senators" in "script logos"...it will give you an idea of what "WASHINGTON" script should look like. Last edited by Eugene Church; 06-30-2003 at 12:42 AM. |

ROANOKE AND SACRAMENTO are gorgeous. Perfection again. If it's my suggestions causing you problems on EL PASO PACKERS, just design it yourself, but try to use my colors. Thanks for another great job. |
