Hobbs is injury prone. I mean, the guy has a bullet in his side that makes him have to miss pretty much his entire career. If he plays, it acts up and he has to sit. And it made him miss pretty much an entire career. I'd call that injury prone.

That's what happens when you let them call you prone. The man wants you to stay prone after that.

As Roy Hobbs once famously said, 'Can't we all just get along? - if you prick us, do I not bleed, and does that not mean we are all injury prone?'.

No, actually it isn't like that at all.

I'm surprised that hasn't been addressed yet.

The reaction I get when I ask people's mothers if they are virgins or not varies in tone, but I would describe as genuinely different than that of asking the OOTP board whether Ken Griffey jr. is injury prone or not?

The real question here: is Roy Hobbs a virgin?

And there in lies the problem. In OOTP, you're either durable, normal, or prone. There's no way to gradually adjust injury ratings downward. There should be a slider setting for injuries, rather than just three choices.

Of course Marcus may have built in behind the scenes code that I don't know about and players do slide toward prone as they age in the game. But then that wouldn't be right at all, because not every player becomes "prone" to injury with age. There are players who keep themself in excellent condition and strive for good conditioning even more so as they age.
